What reading skills? Where?

Fraking awesome - I really didn't need an additional reminder of my limited crochet skills. Or more accurately - I do know how to crochet, I just cannot read crochet instructions without messing things up (I have accumulated some statistical evidence to prove this point). After some hiatus, I picked up my nearly finished Fat bottom bag, re-read the instruction to remind myself of what I'm supposed to be doing and suddenly realised I've been doing double crochet instead of instructed herringbone half-double crochet the whole time. No wonder the dimensions seemed somehow distorted. I didn't notice the difference to the picture in the book (it's a small photo after all), but I didn't even notice anything when inspecting a finished bag in person. And now I feel like an idiot, thank you very much. Unless I relent till tomorrow, this thing is going to make an addition to the Midsummer bonfire.
Fat bottom bag
Tuntuu sangen idioottimaiselta, kiva kiva. Jos en lepy huomiseksi, tekele saattaa päättyä kokkoon.
